Southern Trillium is one of Atlanta’s premiere landscape and garden creation companies, specializing in design and installation of custom landscapes, hardscapes, and gardens. Our industry-leading designers will create a custom design, work from an existing design, or perform a complete landscape overhaul to create your ideal garden environment. We will combine your ideas and goals with our knowledge and talent to create that special place for you to enjoy. Our design packages are custom creations, from computer aided 3-dimensional models, to hand drawn scale drawings or sketches, allowing you to see our vision for your landscape with all plant material, pathways, and hardscape elements.
From formal to informal gardens, native and woodland gardens to specialty gardens, the team at Southern Trillium can turn your vision into reality. We carefully consider all site conditions and will put our vast knowledge of plants and years of experience to work for you. We only work with the highest quality vendors to provide you with hardy, healthy, beautiful materials.
Our #1 commitment is to give you the highest level of quality, service and craftsmanship! Just as your garden will mature and grow, we look forward to growing our relationships with our clients for years to come.
Consultations serve as the opportunity to meet each client and begin to understand the goals and desires for the garden. We discuss our process and decide on the appropriate path for the project. Listening carefully to each client, we discuss options on how each project moves forward.
Our trained designers work with each client through this phase. We view this as an evolving process that will allow for changes after an intermediate review of the design with each client. As the design is completed, estimates are provided for the installation work.
Southern Trillium completes almost all installation services in-house. Our years of experience and attention to detail combine to provide the highest caliber of quality of installation. Members of the Southern Trillium team are involved on every installation.
At this initial meeting, we discuss our fee structures and decide on an appropriate path through the design process. Recognizing that each client is different, each design process is unique and our fee structure is adjusted according to the needs of each project.
Sometimes, our designs are a simple sketch for a small area of a garden. Other times, they are full master plans of a property that will require multiple phases of installation spread over several years. When permits or other approvals are required, we can prepare any additional designs or construction drawings that will be necessary for implementation of the design. These variables, and any applicable fees, are openly discussed at the consultation.
Upon finalization of estimates and agreement to proceed toward installation, a final contract is prepared and signed by both the client and an associate of Southern Trillium. Any discussed deposit is due along with the contract, and the project is then placed onto our installation schedule. We regularly operate on a backlog of work, which can be months in the spring and fall, so it is best to let us know as soon as possible that you would like Southern Trillium to do the installation work.
Southern Trillium completes almost all aspects of our installation by our own trained crew. We use licensed subconctractors for any regulated work, such as electrical. With many years of experience, and almost all equipment owned in-house, we work efficiently on every job until its completion. We personally complete nearly every job by our trained crew. When you hire Southern Trillium, you will regularly see our marked company trucks, equipment, and uniformed crew at your house and not a rotation of the lowest bidding subcontractors. You will be in direct contact with at least one of our lead design team members.
Southern Trillium is fully licensed and insured, carrying both General Liabilty and Worker’s Compensation Insurance. All employees are paid W-2 with all payroll taxes paid. We also offer warranties on nearly every type of installation work that we perform. These warranties vary depending on the service, but each is spelled out in the contract.
